I'm Jess, and there are three things you need to know about me; 1. I love my dog more than life itself. 2. I need coffee before thinking happens. 3. Shopping is my favourite hobby.

I've always had a creative streak, and have dabbled in all sorts of crafts over the years, from crochet to graphic design. The problem is, I want to do all the crafts, all the time.

Lily and Fern came to fruition following a couple of months of operating as Box'd Up Gifting. Initially I realised I could turn my shopping habit into a small business, simultaneously getting that creative hit by shopping locally and supporting Irish makers, each of whom design and make things a lot better than I ever could!

The reason for the change followed a little sit down with myself and some thinking about what I’m doing, and why I’m doing it. I thought about the values I wanted to embody for this shop, and the feeling I wanted people to come away with, and was reminded of how my Nana made people feel; she was the most kind and genuine person, and one of the hardest working women I know. I want those who shop with Lily and Fern to come away feeling that genuine joy and loveliness that my Nana Lily made those around her feel.

I love supporting my fellow makers, and I feel wonderful that I get to offer some amazing gifting solutions.
